Britt attends ASCS doubleheader in Kansas
A weekend doubleheader with the American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) brought Memphis, Tennessee’s Landon Britt to Kansas for a pair of events, beginning Friday at the Kansas State Fairgrounds.
After coming up short of a direct transfer spot in his heat race, Britt secured his place in the feature with a runner-up finish in the consolation event. Starting deep in the field from the ninth row, he managed to advance and salvage a 17th-place finish.
The action shifted to Dodge City Raceway Park on Saturday for the Steve King Memorial. Britt clocked the fourth-fastest time in his qualifying group and followed it up with a runner-up finish in his heat. Lining up 11th in the A-Main, he slipped back during the 30-lap feature and crossed the line in 19th.
